Scary as it may seem, but almost an exact replica of the current situation has been mentioned in a book by US fiction writer Dean Koontz (as Leigh Nichols). Published on 10 May 1981, a suspense thriller, it was a best seller and has undergone several reprints. The name of the book is “The Eyes of the Darkness“.
As per online sources, the storyline in this book is all about:
“A mother sends her son on a camping trip with a leader who has led this trip into the mountains 16 times before without mishap; that is until this time. Every single camper and leader and driver die with no explanation. As the grieving mother who is the protagonist begins to accept the fact that her son, Danny, is dead she starts getting vicious bully-like attacks from nowhere saying he is not dead, such as writing on chalkboards, words from printers and other various ‘signs’. Along with her new friend, Elliot Stryker, Christina Evans sets out to find out what could have possibly happened on the day that her son ‘died’.”

The accuracy of the chain of events leading to Coronavirus is mind-boggling. All the factors have been listed below:
- The “specific” fact is a “Corona Virus” family of viruses. Transmitted from animals to humans.
- The “accuracy of information” on near fatality in most cases. Including the symptoms and how it spreads.
- The “accuracy of location”, specifically mentioned as Wuhan in China in the book.
- The “accuracy of information” that China had a Biological Lab in Wuhan.
- The “accuracy” of information w.r.t the symptoms exhibited by infected carriers and the “mass scale of infection caused by how easy it was to transmit”.
What are the odds of this happening? To think of something that this was a script that somehow came true would be a one in a billion possibility. It’s so close to perfections that it feels as if only someone with detailed information could have ever written it.

Lets first understand what’s meant by the term Corona Virus.
Basically a large family of viruses, Coronaviruses (CoV) are ones that cause a certain range of illnesses. These illnesses range from a mere common cold and can go up to more severe diseases. Like Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV) and also Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV). Now this novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a completely new strain, something that has not been previously identified in humans.
Coronaviruses are transmitted between animals and people. This is termed as zoonotic. Arguably, there are many other “Corona Viruses” active in animals that have not yet been transmitted/ passed on to humans.
Symptoms: The most basic infection signs include cough, sneezing, shortness of breath, moderate to high fever, respiratory symptoms, and of course breathing difficulties. When the infection is more severe, symptoms can indicate severe acute respiratory syndrome, pneumonia, leading to kidney failure and eventually even death.
Preventions: There are some standard medical precautions to prevent the spread of infection. These include general cleanliness, hygiene, include regular hand washing, covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing. Similar care extends to food hygiene, like washing vegetables and meat products, cooking meat and eggs thoroughly, drinking boiled water. Utmost care has to be taken to avoid any close contact with individuals indicating symptoms of cough, sneezing, and respiratory illness.
